OUR STORY

Blue Iris Tech was founded in 2017 to help federal leaders navigate a changing government landscape with innovative solutions.

Our founder, a veteran of government consulting, wanted to build a new type of services company where trust and ingenuity could flourish.

Our name was inspired by our founder’s travels the year we got started! Shannon was travelling in France when she spotted a field of blue iris. She was immediately inspired by the resilient flower - which symbolizes wisdom, positive transformation, and boundless energy – and decided to name the company Blue Iris Tech. Much like the blue iris, which weathers change and blooms anew each year, Shannon and our tearm are dedicated to guiding federal leaders through all seasons.

LEADERSHIP

Shannon Reneau

President and CEO

With over 15 years of experience in leadership and consultancy within government services, Shannon Reneau has steered successful programs across various government agencies. Holding a BS in Health Care Science from the University of Colorado and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland, Shannon’s educational background aligns with her extensive professional experience. The inception of Blue Iris Tech reflects Shannon’s visionary leadership, driven by the goal of creating opportunities for others. She is dedicated to fostering a work environment where like-minded individuals come together, and she strives to establish a company known for being reliable and beloved by both employees and customers.

Shannon has a passion for exploration that goes beyond her professional life. She loves to travel, immerse herself in new cities and cultures, and embrace new experiences at every destination she visits. Shannon has a unique interest in dancing, having cheered for two years during college and been part of a step team that combined hip-hop and step. After moving to the DC area, Shannon continued pursuing her passion for dancing by joining a bachata team for a couple of years.

Our team has vast experience and a similar vision: no bureaucracy, just solutions inspired by a dedication to innovation, trust, and excellence.

Originally from Bossier City, LA, Rebecca has lived in the Dallas Fort Worth area for more than 20 years. When she is not busy with clients, Rebecca is passionate about dogs and is actively involved with local animal rescues and fostering. She founded a small pet transport company which helps deliver pets across the country. She also enjoys performing with the community theatre and is a football and baseball enthusiast. Her other favorite pastimes include traveling, camping, and hiking with her rescue pups Sydney & Brooke. In fact, they have visited more than 20 National Parks together!

Rebecca Lodge

Operations Manager

Ray, a First Sergeant retiring from the Army, is not only a jack of all trades. He has a unique personal story. After sustaining multiple injuries in Iraq in 2009, he found solace and healing in scuba diving, eventually developing a passion for helping others facing similar challenges. In 2021, Ray initiated a program allowing Service Members to utilize their G.I. Bill® for NAUI Scuba certifications and Leadership licenses. Ray also dedicates his free time to volunteering as the Director of Armed Forces Relations and Training for NAUI and Scuba Diving Training for Force Blue Ocean Conservation School (OCS), supporting Gold Star Kids.

Jaime, a retired Air Force Colonel, has some cool stories riding in F-16, T-38, and F-5 planes. But here's the surprise – in his free time, he's a total fish enthusiast! He not only has fish, but shrimp to starfish, clams, and anemones, he's got a whole underwater crew. Taking care of this aquatic bunch is Jaime's way of chilling out from his regular government contracts work. And when he's not with his fish, he's all about family time – traveling with his wife, hanging out with his 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren, and celebrating his 90-year-old mother!
